“ We had dinner with our family, good echo friendly ambience without spoiling nature, summer bit hot( April and May), variety selection of Goan, Chinese, multi cuisine food, with a decent Bar, very tasty food. Prices are quite reasonable, I would suggest all tourists must not miss this restaurant. ”

“ For the record, I only review authentic Goan restaurants. The Alvares restaurant is kind of a hidden gem in the heart of Verna, just off the main highway, but worth eating at if only for its surrounding ambience of unspoiled nature, next to a river. The attraction is a friendly atmosphere accompanied with their freshly-cooked Goan traditional dishes but they do offer a large selection of Indian multi cuisine food. I must say we were quite impressed with their Chinese menu as well, especially the prawn hakka noodles, which is a rare treat to find in Goa. One of the house specialties is the Alvares Cordon Bleu which is a local favorite besides the ‘river fish catch of the day’ but you can most certainly choose from a wide selection including steak, seafood includes oysters, mussels and crabs. We absolutely loved the prawn cream chili garlic together with the Goan pork amsol and sausage pulauv. Heads up, try the butter naan with these dishes. Shark ambotik: You may very well say “eeww!’ but knock it until you’ve tried it. They also serve tandoor chicken as well as an assortment of veggie dishes. Note that their delicious modso thali is not on the menu but feel free to ask for it. You can select your table for either indoor and outdoor seating. The waiters are quick to respond to your orders, albeit certain orders may take longer to cook but if you’re lucky, you may get some live band entertainment as well on weekends. The full bar includes local brews (try the cashew feni, when in season) as well as imported wines and alcohol. The washrooms have a well-maintained cleanliness. Ample parking for your vehicle is readily available at no extra costs. Overall, the prices are quite reasonable seeing as you get quality food minus the fine-dining high class costs. ”
“ A lovely restaurant next to a small creek. Lovely atmosphere. The food is excellent especially the Modso Thali. It's not in the menu but do ask for it. The fish rava fry was superb. Crispy and utterly tasty. The service was excellent and the view of the paddy fields was amazing. Would definitely recommend this place for a Goan delight. Authentic Goan menu is worth every penny. ”
“ This place surprised me with the quality and quantity of of the food ,, every item we ordered had a very homely food kinda vibe 1: Chicken Afghani Kebab 2: Chonol Raw fry 2: Mixed Fried Rice 4: Prawn Spring Roll 5: Chicken Lolipop 6: Beef Chilly Fry 7: Sausage Stuffed Naan Im sure i missed out on a fee dishes since the food was soo good we didnt even click pictures and directly dived into it The Cocktails and Mocktails were good aswell And the prices are very Budget Friendly ”
“ Visited this restaurant during the monsoon (June) and had a great experience! Food: We tried a unique dish called Chicken Rock On Dry – it was absolutely delicious with a rich mix of chicken and cashew nuts, full of flavor. Also had Chicken Manchurian (Gravy) and Chicken Fried Rice, both of which were well-prepared and tasty. Drinks: Tried both Lemon Soda and Lemon Water – refreshing and just right. Service: Decently quick Ambience: The restaurant had pleasant background music playing, which added to the relaxing vibe. Cleanliness: The toilets were decently clean and well-maintained. Parking: There’s sufficient parking space. During my visit, about 9 cars were already parked comfortably. Overall: A place definitely worth trying – both for the quality of food and the overall experience. ”
